Remarkable Crane Motor Brake

After three years of testing and one and one half years of closely observed performance at major facilities, Southwest Crane announces availability of a highly improved motor brake for all sizes of cranes.  The brake features enhanced stopping power through extra thick pads, superior jogging capability, fail safe load drop, and extremely meager service effort.

Stainless steel components provide continuing perfect performance in the most harsh environments.  The brake is currently being used successfully in areas where temperatures reach 130 degrees Fahrenheit in a high humidity and salt atmosphere.

Possibly the most outstanding feature of the brake is the cost savings over standard brakes when it comes to maintenance.  Brake pads last as much as four times longer, the solenoid requires only a one-time adjustment if pads are changed, and brake pad change takes only one man ten minutes.  Actual records show an astounding $50,000 to $75,000 savings per year per brake over conventional brakes, and this does not include additional cost savings of reduced down time.

The patented motor brake is immediately available for retrofit for all sizes and types of cranes.  It is also available for use in original equipment manufacturing under a separate licensing agreement.
